Fundraiser night in Leavy’s of Foigha was a great success. Our raffle made €500 and Jimmy Leavy gave a donation €500, so we are well on the way to our target. Thank you Jimmy for a great night and your generous donation. Thanks for the lovely food also. Thanks to Tangle Wood who entertained us and played lovely traditional music. Thanks to the people who donated raffle prizes on the night and you the people for coming and supporting and buying tickets. Thanks also Cyril and Tommy Connor who installed the heated box at Leavy’s free of charge. There is a house to house collection ongoing in the areas so I would like to thank people for making a contribution. All this money that’s collected in the area is spent on buying two heated boxes costing €600 each, two 7years batteries costing €400 each. Each AED has two sets of pads costing nearly €80 each.
We hope to have the AED up at Alex and Edel Stanley boundary fence in the coming weeks. Thanks to Alex of Outdoor Discovery Adventure Company who gave a generous donation €200 and for helping with the printing of letters and posters. There is a lot of good will out there and its great to see people pulling together to get theses life saving equipment up on the walls available to the public when the need arises.
