On Wednesday, June 19, the men and women from the Personal Development Group and the ACE from St. Christopher’s hosted a film premiere.
Passers-by would have been forgiven for mistaking Main Street for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as the red carpet was rolled out in the Spiral Tree, Longford for the films’ stars.
Assisted by Shane Crossan, the budding writers, stars and producers created 2 short films. The first, a news programme, contained stories relating to St Christopher’s. The second film, a cowboy film entitled “Dark Day at Dawson’s saloon” featured all the elements of a good western, with those in attendance cheering for the “good guys” and heckling the “bad guys”.
There was an air of excitement in the building as the films were premiered, with both receiving rave reviews. Copies of both films are available on DVD from St Christopher’s for only €5. To order a copy, contact 043 33 41769.
