TRACTOR/TRUCK RUN: On Sunday next July 31, Mostrim and district vintage club will host a charity tractor and truck run in aid of St.Christopher’s services in Longford. Tractors will meet in Edgeworthstown from 10am where breakfast will be served .Their route will be Lisryan, Abbylara Granard, Coolarty and Moatfarrell while the trucks will meet at McElvaney’s, Coolarty from 2pm and travel to Ballinalee, Drumlish, Newtownforbes and Longford. GAA NEWS: On Saturday evening last local lads Ballymore traveled to Ballymahon to take on Kenagh in the intermediate championship and after a tough and sometimes bad tempered game they ran out winners so we say well done to all involved and wish them continued success.
CEMETERY SUNDAY: Cemetery Sunday will be celebrated in the new cemetery in Granardkille on Sunday July 31 with Mass at 12:30 pm and in the old cemetery on Sunday August 7 with Mass at 11:30am. A general clean up will take place on Saturday July 30 and all help will be appreciated. Plot owners are asked to please take away all waste. Please assemble from the town side and disperse by way of Brownes cross and Ferriskil on the day of the ceremonies.
