GIVE BLOOD - The Irish Blood Transfusion Service has asked Loch Gowna donors to make a special effort to attend the clinic which will be held at St. Brigid’s Community Centre on Wednesday 30th March and Thursday 31st March.
Area Manager, John Healy urges another fifty donors to visit the mobile clinic in an effort to hit their all time target set in May 2009 of 259 donors. Traditionally holiday periods present a challenge for maintaining the blood supply and with the Easter Bank Holiday weekend approaching , all donors are asked to make special effort over the coming weeks to get to a clinic. The clinic will operate in Loch Gowna each day from 5.30p.m to 8.30pm. All concerned should note revised clinic opening times.
GRANARD SHOW
The annual general meeting of Granard Agricultural Show will be held in J.V. Donohoes on Tuesday 15th March at 10.00p.m sharp. With many important issues on the agenda all members are requested to attend.
BOOK CLUB
The next meeting of Granard book club will take place on Wednesday 23rd March at 11.00a.m. The two books for this month are Twelve Red Herrings by Jeffrey Archer and Long Long Way by Sebastian Barry. PILGRIMAGE
