Defibrillator Group

A class for new people wishing to learn the skills of CPR and how to use a defibrillator will take place on Thursday night next the 19th February in St Sinneach’s hall, Carrickedmond, commencing at 7:30pm. Anybody from sixteen up can complete this course. There are still a few places available. All due to complete their ninety day recertification course will be contacted soon. The date for this class is the 24th February at 7:30pm in the St Sinneach’s hall.

Walking Group

The local walking group continue with their weekly walk from the complex in Carrickedmond at 8:30pm on Monday and Thursday nights up to Thursday the 2nd April 2015. The walk is open to male and female walkers and remember to bring your high vis coats.

Collection

Thanks to everyone who supported the Lourdes church collection last weekend in aid of the Lourdes Pilgrims fund.

Social Dancing

Continues on Saturday nights from 9pm to 11pm in Cooney’s hotel, Ballymahon. This night is proving to be a very popular night for social dancing lovers with the best of music provided on the night. Everyone welcome and admission is €5.

Enrolment For new pupils in St. Sinneach’s N.S, Colehill for September 2015 will take place during the week 23rd-27th February from 2-3 pm each day. For more information contact the school principal Miss Brid Glynn at 0449357466.

Sympathy

Is extended to the family of Fr Padraig Mc Gowan PP Ballymahon who passed away suddenly at his home on Friday last. Fr Mc Gowan was well known in our parish as he often filled in for mass and confessions and was a quiet and respected parish priest. May he rest in peace.

Midterm Break

Colehill NS will be closed for the midterm break on this Thursday and Friday. Hopefully, the students and teachers enjoy the long weekend.

Ash Wednesday

This Wednesday the 18th February is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of lent. Mass and the distribution of ashes will take place in Carrickedmond church at 10am and in Abbeyshrule at 7pm.
