Sean Nos dancing

Death
The death occurred of Anne Grimes on Saturday, 28th September at her home. Sincere sympathy to her husband, Pat Grimes and family, Elaine, Darren, Louise, also to the Ledwith family. Ann Grimes removal took place on Monday at 7pm to St Mary’s Church, Rathowen and her funeral took place on Tuesday, 30th Sept with interment in Russagh Cemetry. May she rest in peace.

Sister Bernadette McGarry also known as Peggy from Rathowen but was a Sister in Mount Sackville Chaplelizod, died on Saturday, the 28th September in Mount Sackville. Funeral arrangements to be confirmed. R.I.P
Country Boy comes to Town
‘Country Boy’ a play by John Murphy and performed by Athlone Little Theatre takes place in Backstage Theatre, Longford on Friday, 3rd October at 8:30pm. The proceeds of this performance is to raise much needed funds for the Ardagh and Clonmacnois Assisted Pilgrims Fund. Each year it organises to take sixty assisted pilgrims to Lourdes for six days. These assisted pilgrims stay at the hospital and are looked after by voluntary helpers and a number of youth workers selected from a number of the schools in the diocese.
