St Patrick’s GAA

St Patrick’s GAA are hosting the Annual Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp in Keenan Park, Ardagh from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25 starting at 10am each morning until 2pm each day.

Our camps cover a range of activities including Gaelic Football, Hurling, Handball and Rounder’s as well as many fun games and blitzes. All camps are mixed from 6 to 13 years.

We will also be running a Nursery Camp for 4 – 5 year olds starting at 10am to 2pm from Monday, July 21 to Wednesday, July 23. Cost of the Nursery camp is €30 pre-booked.

Club Ardagh

Club Ardagh and Alert Learning are delighted to present a four day ‘Computer Workshop’ this summer from August 5 - 8 for students aged between 9 - 12 years. Learn how to create your own computer game. Learn, experiment and have fun with computers using Scratch, HTML and Spreadsheets. Campers will also learn how to write their own starter web page and upload it to the internet. Time: 3.30 - 5pm, Location: Club Ardagh, Fees: €40 per week. Baby Boy

Congratulations to Enda & Tess Gillen Cross on the birth of their first child, a baby boy Eoghan Patrick. Congratulations also to the proud grandparents Nollaig and P. Mel.


Our Bowls season is coming to an end for the summer and on Thursday next July 3 we have our AGM at 8.15pm sharp and a good turnout is expected. We extend our condolence to Liam Victory and family on the recent death of his mother, grandmother of our secretary Dean.

Cemetery Sunday

Mass will be held in the cemetery at 11am weather permitting. Otherwise, mass will be held in the Community Centre, followed immediately afterwards by blessing of graves.

Tidy Towns Lotto

The Numbers drawn were 3, 13, 21 and 28. There was no winner of the €5,350 jackpot and €25 each to Mary Finsley, Ardagh Village; Billy & Imelda Keenan, Druming and Eugene Quaine, Tashinny. Bingo every Tuesday night at 9pm.


The death took place on Friday last of Molly Greene Lisduff. Molly’s remains were removed after Mass in Laurel Lodge and laid to rest in Ardagh cemetery on Sunday last. Sympathy is extended to her son James, daughters Mary Mannion, Bridgie Flaherty and Margaret Ryan sons in law, daughters in law, sisters in law, grandchildren relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
