CROSS Rugby Legends Charity 5k Run/Jog/Walk in aid of Cancer Research this Sunday 31st August in The Mall Complex. Registration from 10am, run starts at 11am, entry fee €10.00 for adult, €5.00 per child. This event is being organised by Elaine McDermott. Everyone welcome and your support will be greatly appreciated.

Creative Reaching Out Group
Heritage Week events 2014: Paint the Legend workshop Thursday, 28th August 12.00pm to 2.00pm. Come along and be inspired by the legend of Midir and Etain, look at the artworks that have been created already - stained glass, statue, batik, etc. then design and make your own art piece. Suitable for all ages from toddlers to adults. €5 per person (Family Ticket: €18.00). Family tree coffee morning 31st August Sunday morning any time after 11am to 1:00pm. Come along and share stories about your family tree. We are hoping to map the village family tree at an informal, inter-generational gathering. Ardagh-Moydow Reaching Out group meet regularly in Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre as part of the Ireland XO reverse genealogy project. They aim to contact the local diaspora wherever in the world they may be. This coffee morning is an opportunity to learn more about the families of the village and where their descendants have travelled to. We hope to have a good mix of old and young alike sharing stories on the day.
