Music Lessons
Music lessons will resume on the Green in Edgeworthstown on Saturday, 6th September. Come along and register in the morning at 11am. We have a range of tutors who teach various instruments on site. Instruments taught include: Bodhran, Drums, Tin Whistle, Flute, Keyboard, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, Guitar and Trad Guitar. Also this year we have added on Pop, Rock and Country Drumming Classes with Aaron Murphy.

The next First Friday/Saturday Reparation and Adoration vigil to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts of Jesus and Mary is in the Chapel of Our Lady’s Manor, Edgeworthstown on Friday the 5th of September commencing at 10pm. For further information contact 086 0405621 or 0861900640.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Sunday, 7th September. Ceremonies begin at 2.30p.m. with the Anointing of the Sick, and Mass will be celebrated at 3.00 p.m. Bus tickets are available at the usual price of €16.00 from the Sacristy or the Presbytery.

Mostrim United
A Table Quiz will be held on Friday, 29th August 2014 at 9pm in Conefrey’s Pub, Edgeworthstown. Table of 4 for €40. Prizes and raffle on the night. The new 2014/2015 soccer season is about to begin in Edgeworthstown. For soccer to continue in Edgeworthstown we need more people to get involved with the Club and help out with teams and Managers, this season we hope to have teams for, Nursery U6, U8, U9, U10, U11 all 7 - a -side, and U12, U13 and U14 (older age groups TBC), 11 a side. Please keep an eye out for our registration evening that is coming soon and we always welcome new players.
Mostrim GAA
Lines are still on sale for All- Ireland tickets, €2 per line, 3 lines for €5. There was no jackpot winner in the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 1, 20, 21, 29. Twenty-five euro winners were Philip Quinn, John Hughes, c/o John McGerr, Philip Grehan and Esther Grehan.
Charity 5k Run/Walk
CROSS Rugby Legends Charity 5k Run/Jog/Walk in aid of Cancer Research this Sunday, 31st August in The Mall Complex. Registration from 10am, run starts at 11am, entry fee €10.00 for adult, €5.00 per child. Everyone welcome.
Colmcille Ploughing
Colmcille Ploughing Association will hold its annual ploughing and field day on Sunday 31st August at Dernaserst on the lands of Sam and Andrew Noble. Fun filled day for young and old.

Deus Et Patria conference
Deus Et Patria conference for young people aged between 18 and 40 years. In All Hallows College, Drumcronda, Dublin on 30/31 August. Accommodation, food and conference only costing 55 euro, subsidised by the Legion of Mary. Archbishop Charles Brown will be there and many more great speakers.
