The Motor Neurone Association annual barn dance event will be held in the Marquee Rawle’s pub, Ballinalee on Friday, 29th August, 2014 with a host of entertainers including Busy Fingers, Dave and Liz, Frank Kilbride plus many more. Tickets now on sale 5 euro each or optional admission. Doors open 9pm. Special door prize of a flat screen television. All support will be greatly appreciated.

Celtic soccer club

Killoe Celtic soccer Club AGM on Thursday, 28 August 2014 at 9pm in Cullyfad Community Centre. New members welcome to join the club and assist the running of club for the coming year.

Back to school

St Theresa’s NS Clontumpher reopens Monday, September 1, 2014 at 9.20am. We welcome everyone back to learning and wish all new entrants a happy transition including second/third level students.

Diocesan pilgrimage to Knock led by Bishop Francis, Sunday 7 September commencing at 2.30pm. Bus leaves Cullyfad at 10am, Ennybegs at 10.10am return fare 16 euro. Ticket available in Sacristy. Exposition blessed sacrament in both churches Wednesdays from 6-9pm.

Blood transfusion

The Irish Blood Transfusion service Mobile clinic in the Longford Arms Hotel , Main Street Longford Wednesday 27 Thursday 28 August 2014 from 4.30pm – 8pm. Your support towards much needed urgent blood supplies will be appreciated.

Community Games

Well done to all our competitors who competed in National Finals 2 last weekend in AIT Athlone. Congratulations to Rachel Quinn who came 4th in the U8 Girls 60 metres and Shane Gilna who came 4th in the U12 Boys Ball Throw. Well done to all the Killoe participants who represented their Parish and County on both National Final weekends. Hope you had an enjoyable experience at the Finals. Thanks to the Killoe supporters for the encouragement that you gave to our competitors. Thanks to all who helped out in any way.
