Legan Sarsfield G.A.A lotto jackpot reached 8,050 euro. Results of draw held on Monday October 11th in Mitchell’s. Numbers drawn were 2-3-20 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners of 50 euro were Paul Ross and C. Nugent. This weeks draw took place in Connaughton’s, Rathowen. Results will be published next week.

Pilgrimage

Ballycloghan Foroige Club will travel to Medjugorje in mid-July 2014. A special bargain price has been negotiated to 450.00 Euro, but this money must be paid before 8th December. Anyone interested in going should contact Johnny Murray on 086-1066821.

Christmas Fair

Longford ICA Federation is holding a Christmas Fair in the Temperance Hall on Saturday 7th December from 10:00 – 4:00p.m. Traditional Crafts, Baking, Demonstrations, Carol singing and Santa’s Grotto with entry fee. Cafe with homemade tea/coffee and mince pies also available. All proceeds going to local charities.

I.C.A

Legan ICA guild will will host their Annual Christmas Flower Arrangement Demonstration on Wednesday 11th December in the GAA clubhouse. Ann Murphy, Florist will demonstrate her skills and all arrangements will be raffled. A sale of Christmas cakes, puddings and homemade baking will be held at 7:45p.m and demonstration starting at 8:00p.m. A Christmas supper will be served. All proceeds will go to local charity, Aware and Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Work 4 You

Work 4 You set up by acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides a free vocational assessment service for individuals who have an acquired brain injury and would like assistance and guidance in returning to work, training or education. It is free to anyone with an acquired brain injury and in receipt of a payment from the Department of Social Protection. If you are interested in the service or would like more information Work4You are holding a Pop Up Information Stand in Longford Library on Tuesday 26th November between 11a.m – 1p.m. All are welcome.
