Young Priests’ Society: St Josephs’ Young Priests’ Society are holding a Tea-Day on Saturday 27th April, after Mass in Ballycloghan, and on Sunday 28th April after 11am Mass in Legan. This is the only source of income for the parish branch. The money goes to support students studying for the priesthood. Our Society has contributed greatly to the ordination of many priests. We appeal for generous contributions.
GAA: Results of GAA Lotto draw held on Monday 15th April in Connaughton’s Rathowen, for a jackpot of £6,550. Numbers drawn were 1, 2, 13 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Match three winners of £50 each were the Gunshinan family and Liz Bannon. This week’s draw took place on Monday night in Casey’s Carrickboy and results will be published next week.
Inny Anglers: Inny Anglers Lotto draw took place on Friday 19th April in Casey’s Carrickboy. Numbers drawn were 1, 15, 26 and 30. There was no jackpot winner. Special draw winner was Phil Slowey who won twice with different numbers on same book. Jackpot next week is £2,100 and tickets are now on sale.
Baby Girl: Congratulations to Sarah and Liam Boland on the birth of their baby girl last week. Sarah is daughter of Margaret and George McDonald, Kinard. Baby Grace is a welcome sister for Ewan and Luke. We hope mother and baby are doing well.
Tidy Town: Legan Tidy Towns’s committee wish to thank all that attended the “Night at the Dogs” at Longford Greyhound Track on Friday night last. A large crowd travelled to support the fundraising event and enjoy the races. Thanks to all who bought tickets, sponsored races and spot prizes for the draw, or helped in any way to make it a great success.
