PARENT & TODDLERS: Edgeworthstown Parent and Toddler Group (new born to 4yrs), The Green, Edgeworthstown is open every Tuesday from 11am to 12.30pm (also during August). We welcome everyone from new mums to grandparents. Get out of the house and come along to our very friendly group for a chat and a cuppa. Toys and refreshments provided. On the first Tuesday of every month we have Frances the local Public Health Nurse visit the group. She will be available for help and advice on all issues regarding your new born plus baby weighing. Heritage Week: As part of the National Heritage Week celebrations Edgeworthstown Development Association will unveil three new heritage information plaques at St. John’s Church of Ireland The Rectory and The Manor. The unveiling will take place on Monday evening next the 22nd. starting at St. John’s at 7.30pm. There will be a short talk about the significance of the place at each location. Edgeworthstown has a long and proud heritage with connections to the Edgeworth Family, Oliver Goldsmith, Oscar Wilde and many others. This will be an opportunity lo learn about our heritage and should be very informative. It should also be of interest to second and third level students. The event is free and refreshments will be served.
