BARBECUE AND PIG ROASTING: The annual GAA barbecue and pig roasting takes place this Saturday July 21st on the grounds of Mitchell’s licensed premises. Some tickets are still available at the attractive price of 10 euro. This is always a very enjoyable night’s entertainment with food and entertainment to suit all tastes and many other attractions and novelties. So please come early and get the full value at one of the top social events of the year.

LOTTO RESULTS: The GAA Lotto draw took place on Monday 9th July in Slowey’s. Numbers drawn were 2, 6, 17 and 27.There was no jackpot winner. Match three winner of 100 euro was Seamus Gerety, Doory. This week’s draw took place in Caseys Carrickboy on Monday night for a jackpot of 4,650 euro. Results next week.

INNY ANGLERS: Results of Inny Anglers draw held in Slowey’s. Numbers drawn were 8, 14 and 15. There was no jackpot winner. Special draw winners were Jonathan Moran and Jimmy Doherty. This week’s draw takes place in Casey’s, Carrickboy for a jackpot of 1,900 euro.

CEMETeRY MASS: Mass and blessing of graves takes place on Friday 20th in Agharra Cemetery at 8pm. This is one of the countries oldest cemeteries and attendances at these Masses is generally low, so it would be nice to see an increase attending to say a prayer for our ancestors.

WALKING CLUB: St Peter’s Walking Group will assemble at Ballycloghan Church at 10am on Saturday morning. All abilities welcome.
