Longford Municipal District councillors have agreed to provide €8,000 towards this year's St Patrick's Day Parade
Over €8,000 in funding has been set aside by Longford Municipal District for the staging of this year's St Patrick's Day Parade.
Local politicians signed off on allocating €8,500 to Longford's Chamber of Commerce who are behind its return following a two year hiatus due to Covid-19.
Approximately €1,000 of that total is to go towards a special sensory area, which Cllr Seamus Butler said was the first such parade in the country to implement such an initiative.
