It’s official: Conor and Ava are Longford’s most popular baby names

The Central Statistics office (CSO) have published data on the most popular baby names in the country.

Not for the first time, Jack and Emily have been listed as the two most popular baby names. Jack has held the top spot since 2007 and Emily since 2011. The only time that Jack hasn’t held the top spot was in 2016, when James temporarily took over.

The CSO also published county-by-county results on popular baby names and the results are in, Conor has been officially listed as Longford’s most popular boy name for the second year running. Ava has been listed as the county’s most popular baby girl name, taking over from Emily.
