Longford District Court

Longford District Court

A man accused of carrying out an assault in Longford town last September is yet to learn where his case will be heard.

Arturs Bondarevskis, of 4 Cuirt An Oir, Athlone Road, Longford, stands accused of carrying out a Section 3 assault causing harm at Cuirt An Oir, Athlone Road, Longford on September 3 2018.

The 40-year-old was in attendance at last week's sitting of Longford District Court where he was represented by local solicitor Frank Gearty.

Sgt Mark Mahon said the prosecution would be  seeking short adjournment in relation to the case as the file was still with the Director of Public Prosections (DPP).

Given that no directions had been made, Judge Seamus Hughes remanded Mr Bondarevskis on continuing bail to a sitting of Longford District Court on April 2 2019.
