Funding for the extension of a footpath outside Granard has been allocated this week.

Cllr PJ Reilly (FF) said the development was very welcome.

Longford Co Council provided funding for the extension of the footpath on the R394 Granard/Ballinalee Road out towards Kiernan Milling.

“This funding will allow for the extension of the footpath in that area which will benefit walkers, residents and workers in local industry there,” concluded Cllr Reilly.
