Defendant before Longford District Court remanded on continuing bail until March 3
A 38 year old Longford man who currently stands accused of having produced a slashhook during the course of a dispute as well as having carried out criminal damage to a car window, has been remanded on continuing bail until March 3.
William Nevin of 68 Grian Ard, Ardnacassa, Longford, appeared before a recent sitting of Longford District Court on two charges relating to June 10 2025. He was represented in court by solicitor, John Anderson.

According to the charge under the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act, Mr Nevin, in Ardnacassa, allegedly produced “in a manner likely unlawfully to intimidate another person, an article capable of inflicting serious injury,” namely a slash hook.
A second charge states that on the same date - in Oakvale, Ardnacassa - Mr Nevin allegedly damaged property, namely a car window.

Judge Bernadette Owens remanded Mr Nevin on continuing bail to the March 3 sitting of the district court.
