The Ballymahon Songbirds concert in aid of Women's Aid which was due to take place in St Munis Church, Forgney at 4pm on Sunday, February 1 (St Brigid's Day) has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Songbirds are a community singing group who came together in September 2023 to sing for fun and for general well being.

Hailing from Ballymahon and the surrounding areas and directed by Musical Director Angela Reynolds, the group is all female with the exception of the soundman Tommy Reynolds, affectionately known by the group as Thomasina! Rehearsals are creative and fun filled with a great sense of community and a shared love of music.

The group is supported by Ballymahon and Longford libraries and is sponsored by Creative Ireland.
