Bench warrant issued at Longford court for arrest of man accused of stealing alcohol

The case was heard at Longford District Court

A bench warrant has been issued for arrest of a man who stole alcohol valued at more than €270.

The defendant Martin Stokes with an address of 13 Castlemeadows, Trim, Meath failed to turn up for a scheduled appearance at a recent sitting of Longford District Court.

Mr Stokes stands accused of stealing alcohol valued at €272.50 from a county Longford retail outlet.

Sergeant for the State Mark Mahon said he was aware he may have other warrants from other courts and requested a bench warrant for the defendant's arrest.
