Two people hospitalised after being involved in county Longford crashes

Two people were taken to separate hospitals following the separate collisions

Two people injured in two separate crashes in county Longford have been hospitalised.

The first collision involving two trucks and three cars took place in Coolarty, between Edgeworthstown and Granard at about 11.45am.

A man was taken by ambulance to hospital as a precaution but there were no other injuries reported.

A stop-go traffic system is currently in place in the area.

Separately, emergency services, including Gardaí, rushed to the scene of a two-car crash at Creenagh just before 1pm.

As a precaution a woman was brought to the Midland Regional Hospital, but there were no other reported injuries.
