Speaking to the Longford Leader, Senator Paraic Brady said the man, whom he knew personally, was always of a happy disposition.
He added, “I’ve never seen him in a bad mood. He was always happy, always cheery, just a jolly sort of fella. Our community is shocked by the news of what happened to him. With news coming out now that he’s making a slight recovery, everybody is so hopeful that he will go on to make a full recovery. The incident can be fully investigated then.”
