Gardaí and ambulance service on the scene at Ballymahon Street, Longford
Longford Gardaí are investigating an incident, which occurred at a casino in the town centre yesterday, in which a man produced a weapon and 'stole' his winnings from the office.
The weapon brandished at the scene is believed to have been a gun.
The suspect, who has not yet been arrested, is said to have won money in the casino, and upon approaching the office to collect his winnings, is believed to have produced a weapon, kicked open the door, and entered the office to take the money.
He then left the casino, at which point the Gardaí and paramedics were called to the scene.
