Tommy began his journey in 2002 at RehabCare Highfield House as a care worker.

From day one he brought his trademark humour, warmth and compassion to every situation – even the most challenging.
He supported so many people through difficult times, always using his unique, individualised humour to connect and uplift.
He later moved to RehabCare Redleaf Day Services where his impact only grew.
There he supported over twenty individuals to live the lives of their choosing – encouraging independence, confidence and joy every step of the way.
Sally Budd, CSM RehabCare Longford, said Tommy leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, joy and kindness.
“He touched the lives of everyone he supported – along with their families and the team around him.
“He had a gift for making new service users and staff feel welcomed, quickly drawing them into our extended family.
“Now it's time for Tommy to enjoy some well earned rest – fishing, sipping a cold beer and focusing on himself for a change.
Luckily he's local so we hope he won't be a stranger.”
Ms Budd concluded, “Tommy, you are truly one of a kind. Your sense of humour, infectious laugh, those unforgettable Longford jokes and your unique approach can never be replaced. You will be deeply missed.
