Fight inside Longford Post Office leaves customers in shock as gardai investigate

Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a serious incident at Longford Post Office on Monday, August 18.

Customers were left stunned as three men engaged in an altercation inside the post office at around 11.20am on Monday, August 18.

A video of the incident circulating online shows the men striking one another in front of the counter as staff and customers stand back and watch in horror.

In a statement, gardaí say they attended the scene to deal with the incident but they have not made any arrests.

The statement read: "Gardaí attended a premises at Main Street, Longford Town on 18th August 2025, following a report of an alleged public order incident involving three males.

"The incident occurred at approximately 11.20am.

"Investigations are ongoing."
