Two Longford friends, who took part in the 2025 Ultrabalaton race event in Hungary, raised €3,500 to be distributed among local organisations.

Mervyn Graham and Paul Courtney were members of the Zoosh Digital team that completed the 211km Ultrabalaton (an annual ultramarathon running event in Hungary) on April 26.

Paul explained, “We decided that this was a good opportunity to do it as a charity event and raise money for local causes in Longford and we raised €3,500 in total.”

They chose to donate the money, €1,120 each), to St Christopher's Special School, Alzheimer's Ireland Longford, and Killoe Celtic Football Club.
