South Longford farm fetches more than €540,000 at auction

The c. 78 acres of agricultural land at Killinure, Newtowncashel sold by public auction on May 30

An attractive south Longford farm sold for more than €540,000 following intense bidding at auction.


The c. 78 acres of agricultural land at Killinure, Newtowncashel, which is laid out in neat tidy divisions and is suitable for any farming enterprise was sold by public auction on Friday, May 30 in Murtagh Bros Auction Rooms, Enfield, Co Meath.

The auction was conducted by Dillon Murtagh of Murtagh Bros.


Mr Murtagh explained, "The lots were divided c.19 acres selling for €290,000 under the hammer of agricultural land."

He added, "The c. 40 acres of agricultural land was withdrawn at €250,000 and sold for significantly higher after auction."
