The sun shone bright over Abbeylara as the parish centre welcomed crowds to their first artisan food and craft fair on Sunday, April 6.

With over thirty stalls on offer, there was something for everyone. Great pairings were made on the day; Fitzpatrick’s Gourmet Ketchup served on organic beef burgers from Lough Owel, The Farmhouse Chili Honey and Heartlands Orchard Chutneys served with cheese from Barbavilla Dairy, all washed down with Mary Ellen's Meadow natural sparkling drink.

The Easter Bunny caused mischief with young and old while the kids zone was a hive of activity with arts 'n crafts and face painting. Local producers were thrilled with a very successful day all round.

But it doesn't stop there. Cork's Pakie O'Callaghan is bringing his show, 'A Celebration of the Story Telling of Seanchaí Eamon Kelly' to the Parish Centre on Saturday, April 26 followed by 'Dying Minutes' presented by the All-Ireland winning Bailieborough Drama Group on Friday, May 9.

Tickets €15 or buy one ticket for both shows for €20. Contact Siobhan 087 650 9364 or Elenora 086 889 0543 for tickets.
