Ballinalee Players return to the stage in Thomas Ashe Hall this weekend with their hilarious Spring production of Sam Cree's Stop It Nurse.

This light hearted comedy set in a Belfast hospital ward in the 1960s is proof that laughter is the best medicine.

The play is packed with one liners and some very eccentric characters. The staff and patients of the world's daftest four person ward are just what the doctor ordered.

The four patients Bert, Sammy, Felix and Harold are trying to get along despite complicated love lives, various ailments and the not so tender care of the Ward Sister, her loveable trainee nurse Freda and Dr Holmes.

Add to the mix a wedding, a football final and an all-in wrestler, mayhem is assured.

The cast comprises long standing members, Seamus Cahill, Anne Sheridan, Vinnie Conefrey, Carol Vesey, Gerald Brady, Pat McDonnell, Bernadette Conlon, Rowena Rawle and PJ Donnelly.

Ballinalee Players are thrilled to announce the return to the stage of Mairead Rawle, Jimmy Fox and John Kane. Last but not least crew member Mary Sheridan is making her on- stage debut in Ballinalee ahead of her performance in the ISDA national drama competition in Belfast.

Directed by Martina Reynolds, the cast and crew are deeply appreciative of the enormous support of the community including the Hall Committee, Little Learners Childcare and all those who help with raffles, sponsorship and stewarding those who travel to beautiful Ballinalee.
