Longford’s Christine Collins has been honoured with a prestigious Women in Digital Award at an awards ceremony in Dublin on Thursday night.
Christine Collins, the Broadband and Digital officer for the Longford County Council, was recognised for her work by Digital Business Ireland, the country’s largest representative body for digital and online businesses.
In her work with the council, Christine is driving transformative digital education initiatives in schools and through regional digital skills efforts such as the Midlands Digital Education programme.

The 2025 National Digital Awards were held at Twenty-Two in Dublin where the winners and runners-up were crowned in front of over 250 attendees from the digital sector.

The sold-out event recognised the best of digital businesses the length and breadth of the country. It consisted of 16 categories featuring the best websites, people, and innovations of the year.
Leading digital accessibility campaigner and CEO of RDI Hub in Kerry, Liam Cronin took home the Digital Advocate of the Year award, while a selection of businesses across the sectors, won big at this year’s iteration.
