Man arrested as €62,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis seized in Roscommon
As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the region, Gardaí from the Longford/Roscommon Drug Unit seized €62,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis in Co Roscommon on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Earlier this week in Longford, Gardaí seized €42,000 worth of cannabis.
Gardaí from the Divisional Drugs Unit were alerted to a vehicle in the Ballybride area and conducted a search for its owner.

They apprehended a man, aged in his 20s, and recovered a bag containing cocaine with an estimated street value of €52,000 and cannabis with a street value of €20,000 (pending analysis).
The car was searched and a further €10,000 worth of cocaine was seized.

The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
