It was decided to try to set up both the Community Centre and the GAA grounds as hubs for any future outages where generators would be installed to allow for people to be able to avail of cooking, hot meals, showers, etc.

Representatives from each townland will survey their local area for potential problems with trees and forestry and will also collect signatures for a petition to be presented at a later date to local councillors and Oireachtas representatives, as well as to representatives of the ESB and other utility companies, in order to outline the community’s concerns and its determination that the recent situation should not be allowed to be repeated.
