The record winds knocked a perimeter wall at Longford's Bishopsgate stadium
Storm Éowyn inflicted considerable damage to a perimeter wall at Bishopsgate stadium, the home of Longford Town Football Club, on the Strokestown road.
Longford was hit badly by Storm Éowyn as roads were blocked by falling trees, slates lost off houses and power lines knocked down.
Thousands of people across county Longford are without electricity.
