Truck with serious defect stopped by Gardai at Midlands checkpoint

A truck with a serious defect has been stopped by gardai at a checkpoint in the Midlands.

As part of a joint operation between Edenderry Gardai and the RSA a number of checkpoints were carried out during the week in Edenderry.

Gardai say a number of trucks and buses were inspected at the checkpoint.

During the inspections, one truck was found to have very a worn tyre.
