Jared Weafer and Gerard Keogh from St. Mel's College Longford with their project 'Upcycling waste streams for Agriculture use and protecting water sources, a continued study'
Two students from St Mel's College, Longford - Jared Weafer and Gerard Keogh - were the recipients of a Highly Commended Award for their project at the 61st BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) at the RDS in Dublin.
Participating in the Senior Biological & Ecological section, Jared and Gerard's project was entitled 'Upcycling waste streams for Agriculture use and protecting water sources, a continued study'.
The three Murphy sisters from Presentation Secondary School Tralee in Kerry Ciara, age 17 in 5th year, Saoirse, age 15 in 3rd year, and Laoise, age 12 in 1st year, won the top prize with their project, ACT (Aid Care Treat): App-timising emergency response.
