There was deep regret in the Mullinalaghta and North Longford area at the news of the sudden passing of Agnes Fleming, Galway, formerly Kiernan from Kilmore, who died suddenly on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at University Hospital Galway.

Agnes was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Kiernan, and grew up in Kilmore, being educated locally before emigrating to New York where she met and married her late husband Michael Fleming, a native of County Galway. They returned to live in Ireland in Claregalway before Agnes moved to Galway City.

Agnes was predeceased by Michael as well as by her parents, her sister Ita Raleigh, and her brothers John, Bertie and Noel.
