Over 360 homes in Longford Town left without power following "major outage"

The residence of Glebe were without power since 3 pm, 330 homes have been restored with 39 still without.

360 customers were effected

Over 360 ESB customers were left without power in Longford Town. 

The power outage was reported in Glebe at 3 pm and was not expected to be restored until 7 pm tonight.

According to Cllr Kevin Hussey in a Facebook post regarding the outage, it was quite serious.

“They have told me it’s a major outage in Longford Town.

“ESB networks are working on the problem,” he explained.

However, since this statement, the larger fault, which left 330 homes without power has been fixed.

Cllr Hussey posted, “ Should be back now in most places, well done ESB for getting it sorted so fast.”

39 homes in the area are still without power.
