North Longford saddened by death of kind and gentle lady Anne Creamer

The late Anne Creamer (née Brady), Robinstown, Granard, Longford

There was an air of sadness and genuine regret across the north Longford region when the news broke on Monday, November 18 that Anne Creamer of Robinstown, Granard had passed to her eternal reward following an illness.

Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Ellen Brady of Derragh, Abbeylara and by her sister Kathleen, Anne was beloved wife of Joe and dear mother to Fintan, Patrick and Joanne.

Anne was a lovely kind gentle lady who will be fondly remembered by many for her participation in Scór where she represented her club St Bernard's in the recitation section and indeed she did this with great pride and always encouraged those representing the opposing clubs which proved her great sportsmanship.

A keen quizzer, Anne was known far and near for her great knowledge and she was often called on to set the questions for an upcoming Quiz which she was delighted to do.

A life long member of PTAA she wore her Pioneer pin with great pride and was always willing to help that association with fundraising events. A lady of great faith Anne accepted her illness as the will of God and remained steadfast in her faith right up to the last day.

Anne's removal was met by a large crowd on Wednesday evening at St Bernard's Church, Abbeylara and again on Thursday for her funeral Mass after which she was laid to rest in the family plot in Granardkille cemetery.
