Great excitement as Longford pupil chosen to appear on The Late Late Toy Show

Paddy McDonagh, a third-class pupil at Melview National School in Longford town will be appearing on The Late Late Toy Show this year.


Paddy will appear in the vehicle section of the Toy show, so make sure to keep an eye out for him as he drives by.


Paddy’s principal Bryan Kennedy told the Longford Leader / Longford Live a bit more about Paddy’s upcoming TV appearance.


“We just found out about it yesterday and obviously we are over the moon for Paddy and his family,” said Bryan.

“The students can’t wait, we have a special Gold Day here in the school on the day of the Toy Show, so it’s a big day for the school and the day will be rounded off with Paddy in the show.”


“Paddy will be driving one of the vehicles on the night of the show.

“He is a great student here at the school and we’re just very proud of him and we’re looking forward to seeing him at the Toy Show.”


Mr Kennedy also told us a little bit about the school's ‘Gold Day’ that will be taking place on the same day.

“Gold Day is an annual fundraiser we have, we donate money to the GOAL and fundraise for our astroturf.”

The Toy Show will be airing on December 6.
