Plans lodged for major 28 home county Longford development

The planning application was lodged on October 25

An application for a proposed planning application for 28 homes has been lodged and submissions can be made up until late- November.

Roscommon County Councillor Tom Crosby has applied for planning permission to demolish two outbuildings at Cois Abhainn in Cloondara.

The public representative wants to then build 28 homes including 18 apartments and 10 houses.

The planning application was lodged on October 25 and submissions can be made by members of the public up until November 28 next.

The area of the site is 2,500 hectares and the proposed works are listed as covering an area of 2,055 square metres.

Meanwhile, Church View B&B in Longford town, is seeking permission to change the use of a funeral home and offices.

If they get the go-ahead from Longford County Council they intend to convert the premises into bed and breakfast accommodation, with nine en-suite bedrooms.
