GAA President Jarlath Burns will launch ‘Our Club: The Fr Manning Gaels Story’ on Thursday, October 24

GAA President Jarlath Burns will be in Longford to launch the history of Fr Manning Gaels. 

On Thursday night, October 24, at 7pm in The '98 Memorial Hall, Ballinamuck, Fr Manning Gaels are launching a history of the club with Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns as the special guest. 

‘Our Club: The Fr Manning Gaels Story’ is a detailed history of Gaelic games in Drumlish / Ballinamuck parish from 1889 until 2023. 

There is a chapter dedicated to each decade, as well as St Vincent’s, St Helen’s, Schools, Scór, songs and poems as well as records and statistics.

Written by Pauric Gill, there are almost 700 pages and hundreds of photographs and there is something of interest for everyone in the club and the wider Longford GAA community. 

The book costs €50, with all proceeds going to the Gaels.
