'An Angel forever' - Tributes pour in following heartbreaking death of little girl in Longford

Baby Zoe Stokes passed away on Tuesday

Tributes have poured in following the devastating death of little baby Zoe Stokes, late of Clonbalt Woods, Longford Town, Longford.

Baby Zoe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, following a brave journey in her six short months of life.

Zoe will be cherished and remembered forever by her heartbroken family, father John, mother Sinead, sister Kayleigh, brothers Ryan and Jack, grandparents Ned and Ann, Frank and Esther, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and extended family.

Heartfelt tributes have been left on RIP.ie from those wanted to extend their condolences to Zoe's family, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest sympathy to Sinead Maria and Esther and all your family on your heartbreaking loss. May god welcome baby Zoe to the gates of heaven and may she rest in eternal peace"

Another wrote,

"Condolences to John, Sinead and all of the family. Fly high beautiful princess Zoe you will shine with the angels with your piercing blue eyes. God bless you."

While another wrote,

"What a difficult time for you all Baby Zoe will mind ye from afar so so sorry for your huge loss. God Bless one and all."

Funeral Arrangements 

There will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to pay their respects to the family on Thursday, October 10, from 4pm until 8pm at their home (6 Maple Lawn, Clonbalt Woods – N39 D5R3).

Mass of the Angels will take place on Friday, October 11, at 11am in St. Mel’s Cathedral, Zoe will be laid to rest afterwards in Ballymacormack cemetery.
