Longford Supper Club this Friday

The theme of Autumnal Comforts offers "intimate dining experience"

Longford Supper Club this Friday

Cathedral View Apartments will host a Supper Club this Friday with the theme of Autumnal Comforts.

This is the second Supper Club night, run as part of Longford Night Time Economy program of events.

Supper Clubs are a unique, often intimate dining experience that blurs the lines between a traditional restaurant and a private dinner party.

The events typically bring together a small group of people, sometimes strangers, in a cozy, communal setting for a specially curated meal. Supper clubs can take place in a variety of venues, such as private homes, pop-up locations, or secret spaces, and they are often characterized by a focus on creativity, unique menus, and a sense of community.

Owner/manager Geraldine Stewart takes her knowledge of food from growing up on a family farm and her training at Ballymaloe Cookery School to present a multi course tasting menu focused on autumnal produce.

“For our second Supper Club Night we focus on locally sourced, Autumnal comfort food. Autumnal Comfort food is all about warmth, heartiness, and rich, satisfying flavors that capture the essence of the season,” Geraldine said.

As the weather cools and the leaves change, these dishes bring a sense of coziness and nostalgia, often featuring seasonal ingredients such as root vegetables, apples, and spices.

Autumn comfort food often includes slow-cooked, baked, or roasted dishes that fill your kitchen with inviting aromas and make the most of the harvest season.

Complimentary Drinks Served on arrival.

Tickets costing €50 for the six course meal are available on Eventbrite.
