The family and friends of Theresa McDermott Quinn have arranged the 'Trek for Theresa' fundraiser in memory of a wonderful wife, mother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend.

Unfortunately Theresa lost her battle with cancer in February 2024 and by way of thanks to the fantastic nurses at County Longford Palliative Care and the Night Nursing Team the event organisers hope to raise some vital funds to help them continue their invaluable work with the same care and compassion shown to Theresa and her family just months ago.

It was Theresa’s wish that 'Trek with Theresa' would become an annual event in her memory so that the foundation she started would continue.

The inaugural 'Trek With Theresa' took place on August 13, 2022 so this year we will 'Trek For Theresa' on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 12noon starting and finishing at Keenan Park (Ardagh GAA Pitch) with refreshments served after.

Donations can be made online via iDonate/trekfortheresa, sponsorship cards, Revolut to 087 632 3373 and on the day.

"Please support this event for an extremely worthy cause and if you can, join us on August 31 to remember our wonderful TT."
