Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the Moate Road in Ballymore, Co Westmeath on Thursday,  June 27.
 
Shortly before 1.30pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a car and a bicycle.

The cyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore where he is currently receiving treatment for serious injuries. 
 
No other injuries were reported.
 
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
