Third public consultation on much delayed N4 Mullingar to Longford upgrade

The third non-statutory public consultation for the much delayed N4 Mullingar to Longford (Rooskey) upgrade begins next Tuesday, July 2. 

The project team is hosting this consultation based on the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor (EPRC).

The second non-statutory public consultation took place over three years ago, in February/ March 2021, and it was anticipated back then that an EPRC would be announced in the latter part of 2021.

That didn't happen as the project hit something of a road block much to the frustration of local political representatives however following pressure exerted on Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan and the allocation of €1.4m from TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland) the N4 upgrade is back on the agenda.

In-person consultation events will take place in Longford, Mullingar and Edgeworthstown, with members of the project team in attendance.

  • Longford Arms Hotel N39 FK26: Tuesday, July 2, 2024 2pm-8pm
  • Mullingar Park Hotel N91 A4EP: Wednesday, July 3, 2024 2pm–8pm
  • Edgeworthstown Library N39 F7Y8: Thursday, July 4, 2024 2pm-8pm

A virtual consultation will also be available to access via the project website on the same day.

The N4 Mullingar to Longford (Rooskey) project team is looking forward to engaging with the public on the development of this major infrastructure project and to receiving your feedback.
