The late Gerard Francis (Gerry) Quinn, Dunaras, Ballymulvey, Ballymahon, Co Longford
The death occurred peacefully after a long illness fought with great strength and bravery on Saturday, June 22 of Gerard Francis (Gerry) Quinn, Dunaras, Ballymulvey, Ballymahon, Co Longford.
Gerry passed to his eternal reward comforted by his wife, children and his loving family in the compassionate care of Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
Gerry is predeceased by his parents Patsy and Mary and his sister Mary. He will be forever loved and his memory cherished by his loving wife Gemma (nee Rowan), his beloved son Jack and Jack's partner Niamh and his darling Nicole. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, Anne (Paraic) Ballinteer, Mel (Joe) Coralstown, Kinnegad, Penny (Liam) Cloncullen, Aiden (Bernie) Cloncullen, John (Breda) New York, his much loved nephew Philip (Emer) Cloncullen, all his nieces and nephews, extended family members and Gerry and Gemma's dear friend Paula.
He will also be greatly missed by many people near and far with whom he shared much laughter and friendship.

Bog Lane Theatre posted a tribute to the late Gerry on their Facebook page. “It was with deep sadness we learned of the passing of our dear friend and valued member Gerry Quinn.
“Gerry was Artistic Director of the Bog Lane Theatre and a constant presence both on and off stage for many years.
“He was always on hand to help out in any way he could and had a great interest in keeping the theatre alive in our community.

“We will miss him very much and are grateful for his contribution to the theatre and most of all to have had his friendship.
“The Bog Lane Theatre Executive Committee and members extend our sincere sympathies to his wife Gemma, his son Jack, his darling Nicole and the entire Quinn family. May his gentle soul rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
Gerry lay in repose at Shaw's Funeral Home, Mullingar on Monday, June 24 and Funeral Mass takes place on Tuesday, June 25 at 11am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Forgney, Co Longford, followed by cremation at 2pm in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

The family extended a special word of thanks and acknowledgment to Dr Neil Healy, Riverpark Medical, Ballymahon, O'Hanlon's Pharmacy, Ballymahon, The Medical Team and Staff at Midlands Regional Hospital's Tullamore and Mullingar.
Gemma will be forever grateful to the Management and Staff of Athlone Laboratories Ltd, who were a tremendous support during Gerry's long illness. Many thanks to Michael McCawley for carrying out Gerry's final wishes with such dignity and respect.
