Abbott has announced that there will be a small number of redundancies from its Longford plant.
“Abbott continually evaluates its competitive position and makes changes that reflect the strategic needs of its business. As a result, we can confirm a small number of voluntary redundancies are taking place in our Longford site, although we are not providing additional detail,” the company stated.

“Impacted employees will be offered severance and outplacement services and will have consideration for open positions within the company,” the company added.
