Local election update: Final tally from the Granard area

Local election update
With the final tally for Granard complete, things are looking good for Fine Gael in the North Longford region where the party could secure three seats.

With the final tally for Granard complete, things are looking good for Fine Gael in the North Longford region where the party could secure three seats.

With the quota at 1025, Micheál Carrigy (FG) looks set to top the poll with 1103, while John Duffy and Paraic Brady (both FG) are also doing well with 748 and 734 respectively.

Frank Kilbride (FG) received 485 votes and Maura Kilbride Harkin (FG) is currently at 342 votes.

For Fianna Fáil, things are looking good for PJ Reilly, who received 752 votes in the final tally. Fianna Fáil have fared well overall in Granard with Luie McEntire getting 626 votes and Martin Mulleady at 618 votes. John Coyle tallied at 382 votes,

Sinn Féin’s John Reilly a first time candidate looks to have notched up 570 votes.

Independent James Keogh fared well in the tally, receiving 505 votes, and fellow Independent Mary Lillis is currently at 308 votes.
